Indxx Licenses Europe Infrastructure Index to First Trust

We are pleased to announce the licensing of the Indxx Europe Infrastructure Index to First Trust. The Index serves as the underlying benchmark for the First Trust Indxx Europe Infrastructure UCITS ETF (Ticker: FTEI), which began trading in Europe today. 

The Indxx Europe Infrastructure Index is designed to track the performance of stocks in the infrastructure space that are either incorporated or domiciled in countries as per an eligibility list defined by Indxx.  

Rahul Sen Sharma, President and Co-CEO at Indxx said, “Europe’s infrastructure is projected to require €12 trillion in cumulative infrastructure investment from 2025 to 2040, raising annual spending from approximately €300 billion to €800 billion, with energy and buildings accounting for the majority, followed by transport, information and telecom, and nature and resources, to build a competitive, and resilient economy.”

As of January 29, 2026, the index has 50 constituents. The index has been back tested to April 30, 2020, and real time live calculation date of December 29, 2025. For additional information, please see here.
